John Green is a New York Times #1 Best Selling Author of Young Adult Fiction. He has written five novels, and is a co-author of two other works. His books have won various awards including the 2006 Michael L. Printz award, and the 2009 Edgar Award. His books have been nominated for numerous other awards over the years. Two of his books have also been produced as major film productions. Green has earned world-wide recognition for his writing. There are over 24 million copies of his books currently in print, and his books are available in over fifty five languages. His most recent novel, Turtles All The Way Down is set to be released in October 2017.

In addition to writing, Green has quite the following across all social-media, and runs a Youtube channel with his brother Hank, called Vlogbrothers. Through Youtube, John & Hank have created a positive community known as Nerdfighters. The Nerdfighter community is a supportive online forum that embraces knowledge and inclusion. Through the Project for Awesome, a yearly donation campaign, money is raised for John's charity, The Foundation to Decrease World Suck. Funds are then distributed to non-profits selected by John and Hank, with additional grants going to other non-profits selected by members of the Nerdfighter community. In addition to the main channel, the Green brothers also created a channel called Crash Course which helps students with a variety of subjects and is used as a learning tool by teachers, tutors, and students across the globe. John is involved with a variety of other projects both online, and off.

A native of Orlando, Florida, John now lives in Indianapolis with his wife Sarah, and his two children.
